Jvson is a Nigerian Afro-gospel artist originally from Adamawa State and raised in Jos, Plateau State. Coming from a family of six and a Christian background, his upbringing instilled both faith and discipline, which would later form the foundation of his music. His parents, one a civil servant and the other an engineer, supported his early passion for creativity and sound.
After completing his BSc in Management Information Systems with second-class honours in 2018, Jvson relocated to the United Kingdom to further his education. In 2023, he began studying International Business at the University of Salford in Manchester, where he currently resides. His move to the UK marked a new chapter of growth, both musically and personally, as he continued to merge his cultural roots with global influences.
Jvson began his music journey in 2018 with his debut single “Amin”, followed by songs like “Stay With Me” and “Baba Ti Se.” Over the years, he has released several well-received singles, including “Faraway,” “Carry Me Go,” “I Know Who I Am,” “Majo” (with Nina Shezz), and “Surrender.” His music blends elements of Afrobeats, R&B, soul, and gospel, creating a distinctive sound that speaks to faith, hope, and inner strength.
Known for his heartfelt lyrics and emotive delivery, Jvson describes his art as both expression and ministry. He believes music should heal and uplift, using his platform to share stories of redemption, faith, and perseverance.
Through his songs, he aims to “win souls” and connect deeply with listeners who find solace in honest, faith-rooted messages. Despite facing the challenges of working independently, Jvson remains committed to growth and authenticity.
